CANNON, Clara C. M., a counselor in the general presidency of the Primary Association from 1880 to 1896, was born April 21, 1839, at Westfield, Mass., a daughter of Ambrose Todd Moses and Lydia Ensign. She was a counselor in the presidency of the Salt Lake Stake Primary Board for 14 years and a counselor in the presidency of the Salt Lake Stake Relief Society for some time. At the opening of the Salt Lake Temple she was called as an ordinance worker and served in that capacity seven years. She was the first president of the 14th Ward Primary Association in Salt Lake City. In 1859 she was married to William H. Mason who died nine years later, leaving her with two children. On June 16, 1875, she was married to Angus M. Cannon and became the mother of three more children. Sister Cannon died Aug. 21, 1926.
